Playing as the anti-hero, rage through the wrath of fearless enemies and build the nastiest and most profane army you can think of in this new-style invasion action game.

We have gathered together the best information currently available for Undead Knights including , an article detailing all of it's main features, reviews written by readers just like you, screenshots to show you exactly what Undead Knights looks like, cheats for Undead Knights and gameplay tips too.

Undead Knights is a Sony PlayStation Portable Action game, written by Tecmo.

Guide to Undead Knights on the PSP

Undead Knights is the latest addition into the quirky list of titles that has invaded onto the PSP system, wherein Tecmo wishes to incorporate some relevant take on the zombie action games you normally find these days. This idea is pretty solid and is set to establish its own niche audience but the use of zombies as allies instead of your opponents in Undead Knights open up a world of gaming opportunities.

Upon the initial playing time, several gamers have made comparison of Undead Knights with Dynasty Warriors. But eventually as you progress deeper, there are as many differences in the gameplay as there are resemblance. Still remaining as a hack-and-slash kind of game at its core, Undead Knights offer some revolutionary gameplay choices that will enable you to make the most of your zombie horde. There is a tendency for the game to go over the top, but the game invites to be exactly just like that, which truly helps to romp up the entertainment value a few notches higher.

King Kirk Gradis used to be a kind ruler but when he married a young and mysterious woman known as Fatima, she co-erced him into making drastic choices for his kingdom. When warned by his devoted knight Romulus Blood about the queen, the king finally heed the advice of his wife to wipe out the House of Blood. In a form of revenge to Romulus' discourtesy to the royal queen, they executed the Blood, killing Remus and the king's daughter Sylvia, which is also Remus' bride-to-be in the process. Because of the powerful blood pumping through the house, it allowed these three to be reborn soon after being slaughtered. This will then set the stage for all ensuing action in Undead Knights as the three command the forces of the living dead in an effort to plot revenge against those who murdered them.

This is made possible when the antihero made a pact with the Devil to earn this unique ability that enables them to rise from the dead and suck life from the living to become the undead. This will prove useful as you move into the combat proper wherein the kings have employed a seemingly limitless supply of troops and you can now zap the life out of them and turn them into your own zombie follower in Undead Knights. Since they basically have turned into your own follower, you can send them out commands and they willingly oblige and easily knock out your enemies that way. So as not to make your troop invincible, your undead army will basically rot away after a specific period of time, so it is important to continually zap enemies and turn them into your zombie followers. Turning enemies into zombies in Undead Knights can be done in relatively simple steps. You can choke the enemy by holding the Circle button, which is possible in earlier levels. As you progress deeper, it might require grabbing enemies twice so you can turn them into zombies, or you can also activate a Wrath move to kill and turn them into the newest member of your undead army.

You will then be playing as either one of the Blood family member and head out into a mission of destroying the folks on top while solving puzzles or engaging in combat along the way. The gameplay in Undead Knights is broken down into two categories: the majority of it is the action, and the rest is left for realtime strategy. To break down the action into more manageable action, Undead Knights is divided into relatively short chapters, each one assigned with checkpoints so you won't have to start over in case you died during action. Before you embark on a single chapter, you will start off by choosing the character you wanted to play as. As you move further into the game and you realize that the character you've chosen is not working out right, you can always restart the game and choose another one.

Just a few hints when choosing the character to play as in Undead Knights, Romulus has the ability to wield large and heavy weapons. Meanwhile, Remus is relatively more agile than Romulus but he can do lesser damage when it comes to melee combat. As for Sylvia, she is equipped with a giant scythe that has a long reach such that she can successfully land hits even with distant enemies, but the period in between her swings can leave her vulnerable to enemy attacks. The decision of which character to play in Undead Knights already involves a lot of strategic play that will impact your ability to defeat your enemies.

In addition to choosing the character you want to play as in Undead Knights, you can also set the difficulty level for each chapter in the game. The type of challenge you'd have to face will depend on your choice of difficulty setting. With a total of 20 chapters in Undead Knights, there is enough zombie missions to accomplish ensuring that you have a hefty amount of exciting action to go through.

There are some important gameplay components to think about in Undead Knights, such as the Infernal Wrath Gauge. You will find it below your health bar and will slowly fill up as you plow your way through enemies. Once filled, it will enable you to unlock a powerful attack that kills nearby enemies in an instant. Meanwhile, Dark Energy points are awarded to you, depending on how well your performance has been graded, which will then be allocated among the three characters. You can use these points for customization and upgrades to gain new combos, abilities, and weapons.

Souls also play a crucial role in Undead Knights. You can find green and red souls from the destructible vases or other items and in giant hidden chests across various levels, respectively. Each colored soul will aid your progress in the game, so make sure to collect it if you find one. The green souls help to boost your health, while the red souls will also fill up your Wrath bar much quicker.

For the multiplayer-crazy PSP gamers, Undead Knights offer this feature via the ad-hoc mode that supports up to 4 players. There are exciting multiplayer modes to engage in such as Survival Race, Undead Battle, and King Battle Mode. Survival Race basically pits you up against another troop in a killing frenzy as you race to reach a specific area. In King Battle Mode, this offers the co-operative multiplayer option in the game wherein you team up with your army to take down the opponent's boss.

The visuals have some shining moments and a few issues that hopefully will get fixed by the time Undead Knights hit retail release. But the soundtrack in the game, which utilized mostly heavy metal music equipped with angry guitar riffs will hopefully add more zest into this zombie-action thriller. For all PSP gamers thirsting for blood-spattering and raw zombie action with a twist, Undead Knights is certainly up there in your choices of games to spend some time on in Sony's PSP.
